Summer 2022 our founder Adam Hoyland travelled 1 hour and 10 minutes to an emergency call out sent to him, L2 fault. He arrived only to find the tenant had put their hoover in the cupboard and knocked off the Gas Ecv.... This wasn't the first time.
In fact simple issues are a regular occurrence in both plumbing and electrics. What an easy way to earn your money!
But how much would you charge? And how much would you have left after all your deductions, fuel, time, insurance.
Surely your time would be better spent somewhere that needs you!
We don’t have enough tradesmen as it is!
TheTradeHub is the solution to these simple issues, talking customers through them & earning remotely!

As many of you know new home plumbing & electrical contractors provide a two-year warranty.
From our market research as much as 60% of new home warranty call outs could be classified as simple issues (no engineer required)
Examples of these could be low pressure, thermostat not set up correctly, airlocked or air-filled radiators and many more.
The problem is these jobs are reported to people with no construction experience and end up with their engineers travelling up to 2 hours to rectify Teething problems! More difficult issues often lead to a return visit as the engineer has little to no details of the job!
TheTradeHub as a solution allows contractors to use us as a first point of call/filter for their maintenance.
New Homeowners are connected to our engineers talking them through the 60% of issues they can. For the remainder they provide a job description and part details. New homeowner sets their availability.
This information is then passed to the contractor allowing them to book in a call with ease, the engineers taking parts with them on that first attendance!

TheTradeHub will be the one stop shop for anything plumbing or electrical.
Let’s start with James, James is a 16-year-old boy who’s just started studying plumbing. Classrooms arent for James, he can’t concentrate, reading & copying from a white board gets him nowhere.
TheTradeHub covers not only the full curriculum in plumbing and electrics but also covers the basics in business.heating students to thetradehub.

These are taught with short format videos with questions after. Holding James' attention whilst checking his understanding. James can also post a question on TheTradeHubs forum and get answers from real engineers!
By the end of his course James feels great about everything he’s learned and decides to go it alone & sets up his business.
He also continues his TradeHub membership and uses their discounts to increase his profits, he also starts to pick up jobs from thetradehub. These jobs are full of detail and give part details so he can solve the issues in one attendance!
Wow doesn’t time fly... James has now been plumbing for ten years & has developed his skills further. He now feels confident enough to upgrade his tradehub membership. This gives him the ability to earn money from home by answering live chats. He also begins to answer apprentice questions on the forum, earning points that can be saved to get himself the new Milwaukee combi drill.
